Former Picturehouse man Dave Browne has confirmed a nationwide Irish tour to coincide with the release of his new album.
Dave Browne's Windows To The Soul album is out here on May 30.
Catch him in The Palace, Athlone (May 22); Moo Bar, Ballinamore (24); Beacon Court, Dublin (25); Roisin Dubh, Galway (27); O’Keefe’s, Clonmel (29); Purty Loft, Dun Laoghaire (30); Courtyard Festival, Leixlip (June 1); Granary, Killarney (6); Black Tom’s, Wicklow (7); Bridge House, Tullamore (13); Cleere’s, Kilkenny (14); Cyprus Avenue, Cork (27); and McHugh’s, Drogheda (July 11).
Enterprising chap that he is, Browne secured a €282,000 Business Expansion Scheme grant to part-fund the album, with the remainder coming from private investors such as MCD supremo Denis Desmond.
It’s somewhat apt then that in addition to CD and iTunes, Windows To The Soul will be available as a very nifty looking credit card-shaped USB stick.
