Entourage star says Yeezus is the exception to the rule
His role as Vincent Chase in the smash hit Entourage means that Adrian Grenier is familiar with the glitz and glamour of the showbiz lifestyle.
It was in his guise as the founder of Wreckroom Records, though, that he appeared at the Web Summit today, and made fun of the excess of one of music's biggest stars.
Grenier told the audience that bands were now "looking for smaller intimate gig experiences," rather than the massive arena productions which lead to a lack of connection.
New bands, he said, are leaving behind the hard-living of the old days and concentrating on their craft. "The days of private jets and cocaine are over. Emerging artists are focusing more on music again," he said, before adding - with tongue firmly in cheek - "Except Kanye West!"
