The band will release the record on November 29 as part of their Black Friday series.
The Flaming Lips will release their own version of the Stone Roses seminal 1989 self-titled debut at the end of this month.
The group first announced the project back in February and it will now see the light of day as part of the band’s Black Friday series of releases.
Other projects marked for release as part of the series include the group’s Ender’s Game inspired Peace Game EP, which is available digitally now, as well as a split single with Australian outfit Tame Impala.

The influx of new releases will read as good news for fans after a now deleted tweet appeared on the Flaming Lips Twitter account last month announcing the group’s split. The tweet was quickly removed with frontman Wayne Coyne assuring fans “The Flaming Lips twitter has been hacked!!!!”
