The show is being re-staged next Tuesday.
The Coronas were forced to cut short their Dublin Olympia show last night after a power outage plunged parts of Dame Street into darkness.
The Hot Press Christmas issue cover stars performed several acoustic numbers in the hope that the power would quickly come back on, but when it didn’t had no option but to leave the stage.
There is a happy ending though.
“Thanks to the quick thinking of the guys at the Olympia we’ve moved the show to Tuesday December 14,” the band say. “If you had a ticket for Friday, it will be valid for Tuesday or you can get a refund at the point of purchase. We’re so sorry we couldn’t finish the gig but we’ll make it up to you all on Tuesday! We promise.”
They’re also in the Olympia tonight, Saturday, with special guests Roisin O and Stand.
Having gone off at around 9.30pm, the electricity in Dame Street came back on around 45 minutes later.
