Yeezy says publications like Pitchfork, The NY Times and Rolling Stone cannot understand where his music is coming from and so shouldn’t comment
Kanye West is at it again.
The rapper tweeted in his latest rant, “To Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, New York Times, and any other white publication. Please do not comment on black music anymore”.
Let us not forget that it was not so long ago that Kanye was lobbying to make his picture taken by Tyler, The Creator the cover of Rolling Stone.
He continued the tirade tweeting, “I love love love white people but you don't understand what it means to be the great grandson of ex slaves and make it this far.”
Yeezy didn’t leave it there, elaborating that “The system is designed for colored people to fail and one of our only voices is music. One of our only ways out is music.”
Given that The Life Of Pablo was one of the most highly anticipated album releases of the year, prominent music publications quite naturally have reviewed the album and it has been met by the aforementioned “white publications” with critical acclaim.
However Yeezus wasn’t satisfied with his reviews it seems. In particular he called out Pitchfork: "Pitchfork the album is a 30 out of 10”, he tweeted the publication in response to his 9.0 rating.
Pitchfork not only gave the rapper a high score, they even said "his devotion to the craft of album-making remains his greatest talent." The music site even dubbed the album "best new music" - making The Life of Pablo the highest-rated album of the year.
The “white publications” in question have yet to reply to Mr West’s latest demands.
