The 140 character-forming interview...
@hotpress: Congrats on winning the 2013 NI Music Prize…
@foyvance: Thanks! Awards are funny, aren’t they? They don’t make an album better or worse, but it’s a nice thing to receive.
@hotpress: Hopefully it’ll lead to some fresh attention…
@foyvance: Yeah. The Northern Irish scene is really blossoming. Hopefully this sheds some light on all of it.
@hotpress: Gary Lightbody called you a “goddamn legitimate genius”…

@foyvance: He needs to go listen to some Mozart!
@hotpress: This is your chance to embrace the tag…
@foyvance: Alright. Fuckin’ great, I am! Fuckin’ out of this world, man!
@hotpress: That’s the spirit.
@foyvance: Nah, nah… there’s loads more Northern Irish albums more worthy than I.
@hotpress: Oh come on…
@foyvance: I don’t want to sound like I’m not proud of the record. I am. It’s a tip of the hat to everyone involved.

@hotpress: Does this put any pressure on you for a follow-up?
@foyvance: None at all. I’m the youngest of four brothers, so I’m used to distributing responsibility to other people!
@hotpress: Courteney Cox was bigging you up on Twitter. You a Friends fan?
@foyvance: It was good but I wouldn’t call myself a huge fan. I didn’t like how it changed how Irish people speak, either!
@hotpress: Did you see Rizzle Kicks taking the piss out of Huey Morgan on Never Mind The Buzzcocks?
@foyvance: I did! There was no hidden agenda there, he just had a bit of a mental streak!
@hotpress: Some people thought it looked staged…

@foyvance: It was terrible. I love Huey. I think he’s the epitome of cool. But watching that was quite interesting… @hotpress: Rizzle Kicks were hilarious.
@foyvance: It’s easy to write them off if you’re a classic music fan, but they’re very smart, very erudite and charming.
@hotpress: Is it really as hard to get a decent cup of coffee in the States as you claim on Twitter?
@foyvance: It is! There are some great coffee shops in New York, LA, Portland and Seattle but you have to dig them out…
@hotpress: So, tons of Barry’s Tea on your rider, then?
@foyvance: Do you know what? I love a good cup of tea. Barry’s is hard to beat.
