William Yang presents Shadows
A textured pilgrimage of epic proportions
Shadows is a journey of dispossession and reconciliation through the eyes of one of Australia's most prominent photographers, William Yang.
Yang gives a moving account of two people — the Australian Aborigines and the migrant Germans in South Australia. Both stories touch universal themes experienced by people who have suffered under ignorance and fear.
Yang’s monologues are hauntingly underscored and accompanied by hundreds of his own photographs and images hidden for generations.
