Take a look at Kitt Philippa's new music video for their single 'You': a poignant visual portraying loss and compassion.
Having recently released their brand new EP ‘You’ on Paragon Records, following on from the success of debut singles ‘Human’ and ‘Grace’ coupled with the winning of the Northern Irish Music Prize – Single of the Year 2018, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Kitt Philippa (KP) today reveals the stirring video for current single and EP title track ‘You’.
The video for 'You' was made by Luna Director Duo (Luke Daly and Nathan Fagan), Director of Photography (Kevin Minogue) and Bold Puppy productions. It features actor Ferdia Peelo-Walsh (Sing Street, Vikings) and was filmed at Blessington Lake in Co. Wicklow, Ireland. The camera lingers and moves with the protagonist; what is told, is done so through expression and gesture. Ambiguous, gentle and emotive: the video for 'You' is an honest portrayal of loss and compassion.
Speaking about the video Kitt says, "Humans know loss. Absence, through the process of grieving, can seem like it is living: it gives way to love and care from other humans and adds to a complex infrastructure. Walsh-Peelo's performance is poignant and the interaction with the additional characters creates a moving encounter."

‘You’ has already garnered UK radio support from Huw Stephens (Radio 1) and Mary Anne Hobbs (6 Music). BBC Entertainment News in their review of The Great Escape proclaimed, “You can instantly hear why Hozier said "impressive is too weak a word to describe their music.” Online tastemaker support for Kitt continues to build with support from CLASH, Indie Shuffle, The 405 (‘You’ video premiere), Record of the Day and many more.
The four-track ‘You EP’ also includes previous singles ‘Human’ which is an emotive plea, a call to be close and to be kind, to rediscover that most beautiful denominator within all of us; our humanity, and ‘Grace’ a reductive reflection on a love most innocent and true, and another brand new song ‘Lion’ which is a track about courage and the seeking of renewal.
