The popular Wild Atlantic Way village of Doolin is readying itself for an influx of Craft Beer aficionadas and ‘roots music’ enthusiasts as it prepares for the sixth annual Craft Beer & Roots Festival, which takes place on the last weekend of the month (25-27August).
The festival has built up a loyal following who return year after year for what has become for festival goers an end of summer ‘hooley’.
The largest event of its kind on the West Coast and outside the capital, the music and beer sampling takes place in the marquee and grounds of the award winning Hotel Doolin where an eclectic line-up of roots music will be played out across the three nights.
Nearly every county in Ireland will be represented on tap with over 60 different craft beers and cider pouring over the weekend including O'Haras, Metalman, Franciscan Well, Galway Hooker, Eight Degrees, Kinsale Pale Ale, Black Donkey, White Hag, Cons Irish Cider, Stonewell Cider, 9 White Deer, Rascal Brewing, JJ's Craft Brewing, Yellowbelly, Hope Beer, Longueville House Cider, Wild Bat Beer, 12 Acres.

The live music line-up includes performances from a number of top Irish and international acts, including Kila, Jerry Fish, The Hot Sprockets, Corner boy, Niall Toner & The Flying Colum, Erdini, Clare Sands Band, Musique en Route, Los Paddy de las Pompas, Randolf & The Crokers, Nick Africano, Big Muddy, Strap, Gone to the Dogs, DJ Will Softly, and DJ Dodgy.
