"Those songs, Jesus, they go into your bloodstream," says HamsandwicH's Niamh Farrell who sang 'Dreams' last night at the Hot Press and Tramline tribute to Dolores.
Imelda May is among those paying their respects to Dolores O'Riordan as she goes to her final resting place today in County Limerick.
"Farewell Dolores, our fiercely talented Queen of Limerick," says Imelda. "She was an inspirational, trailblazing Mna an hEireann. My heartfelt condolences to her family, friends and The Cranberries."
We have to confess that a few tears were shed in HP Central shortly after noon when pretty much the entire radio dial was taken up with 2fm and independent stations simultaneously playing 'When You're Gone'.
"A powerful moment, it made it feel all too real," said the Cranberries' original lead singer, Niall Quinn, who helped Mike, Noel and Ferg to hook up with Dolores when he returned to his other band, The Hitchers.
Last night at the Hot Press tribute gig to Dolores in Tramline, HamsandwicH's Niamh Farrell performed a gorgeous version of 'Dreams'.
"Those songs, Jesus, they go into your bloodstream," she reflects. "I was drawn to the strength of this little tiny woman who walked around in Doc Martens, it was a very powerful image for me going growing up."
Niamh features along with Vulpynes' Maeve Molly, BARQ's Jess Kavanagh, Emma Langford and Loah in the special issue of Hot Press that's out on Thursday and is dedicated to Dolores.
Meanwhile, fans have propelled 'Linger' (No. 11), 'Zombie' (16) and 'Dreams' (24) back in to the Irish Top 40. In the UK, combined Cranberries sales and streams have risen by a whopping 1,134%.
We're very taken with Anohni's spinetingling cover of the No Need To Argue title-track, which has gone down a storm with fans.
Here are some of the other tributes that have been paid today:
