Body & Soul, which takes place on June 23-25, 2017 in Ballinlough, Co. Westmeath, provides visitors a mix of music, art, food, theatre and more.
Today more music acts were announced to perform in Ballinlough.
The acts include RÜFÜS, Kelsey Lu, Brooke Bentham, Lyra, Ships, I Have a Tribe, Ryan Vail, Auxiliary Phoenix Trio, Dowth, PrYmary Colours, Wastefellow, Byron Yeates, Automatic Tasty, Breen, Cáit, Eoin Ryan, Lumo, DIP DJs, Major Problems DJs, Neil Flynn (Lossless), Bantum, ELLL, John Daly and Algorithm.
Australian dance outfit RÜFÜS will be bringing their summer sounds to the Midnight Circus. After spending much of 2017 on a sell-out tour of North America - including stops at Coachella and Lollapalooza - the Sydney trio will make their way to this year’s Body&Soul.
From closer to home, Corkonian chanteuse Lyra’s melodic take on pop has seen her compared to the likes of FKA Twigs, Kate Bush and even Enya. Lyra’s music is a combination of vocals and percussion (including the bodhrán) that she will bring to Ballinlough. Find a video to her song “Emerald” below!
Nestled deep in the woodland, the Pagoda Stage will once again showcase Irish contemporary music-makers: Belfast’s Ryan Vail flits between the worlds of electronica, folk and classical while Dublin based two-piece Dowth infuses synth drones and samples with the folkloric harmonies of the melodica and fiddle.

As the afternoon flows into evening Body&Soul’s favourite party arena, Reckless in Love, will vibrate with beats from some of the country’s most exciting collectives.
On Friday night irregular ‘pop-up party’ Alice will feature Byron Yeates and experimental electronics from Automatic Tasty, Breen, Cáit and Eoin Ryan.
Saturday sees festival favourites Homebeat curate a night of choice selectors and contemporary beat-makers from across the country. Kicking off with left-field gems from the Homebeat DJs there’ll be sets from Lumo, DIP DJs, Major Problems DJs, Neil Flynn (Lossless), Bantum, ELLL and John Daly.
To round things off on Sunday, Berlin-based label maeve will unleash a surprise line-up.
But it’s not just ears that are catered for at Ballinlough. The 2017 Art Trail is a feast for the eyes with large-scale projects that will transform the historic grounds into a kaleidoscopic wonderland.
Several artists contributed a span of works to the Art Trail for 2017’s Body & Soul such as the Dublin-based collective Algorithm or Rae Moore. Festival visitors can also expect provocative and inspiring pieces from artists such as Felix Power, Jane Groves, Jason Kearney and our resident land artist Christy Collard to name but a few.
Body&Soul’s silhouette is beginning to take shape, with myriad performers, stages, talks, workshops, games, installations and surprises yet to be announced.
