Wintersleep to play Academy show
After two years spent touring their last album Welcome to the Night Sky, Wintersleep return to Dublin this year with a new album and a new bag of tricks.
The band, who picked up a Juno Award back home in Canada for Best New Band and played with the likes of White Lies, Editors and the Maccabees, will play in Dublin on Friday September 10.
New Inheritors, the band's second album, is being hailed from all quarters as an ambitious step forward from the band's debut. Quality time spent devouring work by the likes of Hank Williams, Jorge Luis Borges, Nathanial Hawthorne, Flannery O'Connor and Karen Dalton has informed an educated step forward for the band in between shows where they plied their trade in tiny spaces as well as 10,000 capacity rooms.
Tickets for Wintersleep at the Academy go on sale this Wednesday at 9am from [link]www.ticketmaster.ie[/link] and usual outlets, priced at e13.50 including booking.
