With the country understandably gripped by sick rugby-related parotdom, we thought we’d try and cheer you up with the world’s finest karaoke ensemble – Chic plus Bono
and The Edge who couldn’t resist jamming out a few tunes with Nile Rodgers following yesterday’s (RED) Auction in New York, which raised a staggering $13 million.
A fellow by the name of Michael Blatter – no relation as far as we know to Sepp – was at the after-party and captured the moment on his phone. There was more quality shape-throwing from The Edge who strutted his stuff pretty damn comprehensively during the summer when Chic played Forbidden Fruit. Nile admitted afterwards in the Hot Press Speakeasy that he was mustard keen to collaborate with U2 – something that might just happen in mid-2014 when the new Chic album drops.
Mr. Blatter, who we thank profusely, was also down the front when Bono and Chris Martin teamed up for run throughs of Lou’s ‘Perfect Day’ and a certain band’s ‘Beautiful Day’.
Enjoy!
