Republican wannabe pledges to bring the band back together
We've heard our share of outlandish election pledges over the years - and goodness knows we're bracing ourselves for a few more in the next three weeks - but John Kasich may have set a new high watermark.
The Ohio Governor, a Republican hopeful in the US Presidential race, has said that if he is voted into the Oval Office, he will reunite Pink Floyd.
Speaking to CNN, the politician said that the band's show in Pittsburgh was his favourite ever.
"If I’m president, I am going to once and for all try to reunite Pink Floyd to come together and play a couple songs," he told the station. "And since we have so much trouble in America with our finances, I’m going to start with a little song they created called ‘Money.'"
Which, to us, seems a massive missed opportunity to give Donald Trump stick about The Wall. Or a Democrats jibe about 'Us and Them'. There's a 'Dogs Of War' joke in there too, somewhere - and all were missed by a candidate from the party who are very definitely on the dark side of the moon.
Just a case of 'Not Now John', perhaps.
