Universal Funk Orchestra for Lou Reed tribute

Having made a name for themselves by tackling over 20 classic albums in a live setting over the past two years, Dublin-based Universal Funk Orchestra are ready to bring their unique take on Lou Reed's classic Transformer when they hit The Workman's Club on Thursday August 11.

A self-proclaimed "anti-tribute band", the UFO don't believe in rules and rehearsals. Instead they approach their favourite records with the admirable goal of creating their own take on seminal works.
