Add The Revs to the list of comeback kings. They might not have been apart for as long as The Police, or even The Verve, but they too are back with a bang this summer with a new Irish tour.
Six months ago The Revs said they were calling it quits, or at least taking a very long break. Now, after a short time off, the Donegal trio are back with a mini-Irish tour.
Although the band split last December, frontman Rory Gallagher never ruled out a reunion, saying on the band’s MySpace:
“Before we end up killing ourselves or each other we are taking an indefinite break… whether we stay together remains to be seen, we are all still good friends so maybe some headspace and a fresh look at everything will make a difference.”
The Revs play Roisin Dubh, Galway (July 13); Crawdaddy, Dublin (14); The Old Oak, Cork (16); Ennis Festival, Clare (21).
