Steve Cropper, The Animals for Big River Blues and Jazz Festival
The Animals and Steve Cropper of Booker T And The MGs are among the highlights of this year's Big River Blues and Jazz Festival in Belfast.
The festival runs from August 21-25. Cropper, The Animals and Milo Z with 8-piece R&B soul band are all scheduled for a special gig at the Mandela Hall on August 22.
Elsewhere throughout the weekend, Henry McCullough of Paul McCartney's Wings, Jason Rebello, Tommy Smith, Rab McCullough, Lee Hedley, Linley Hamilton, Cara Robinson and Ronnie Greer will all play.
Nine Below Zero are to feature as part of a Rory Gallagher tribute night, and the Rory celebrations will continue with a photographic exhibition by Fin Costello at St George's Market. Costello will also display photos of Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones. Also at the Market is an international music awards ceremony.
Organisers are promising surprise guests to be confirmed.
