Irish acts join James Corden on line-up for the Oscars week shindig
The Oscar Wilde Awards, held at the home of director-of-the-moment JJ Abrams, have long been one of the hottest tickets in Tinseltown around the week of the Academy Awards.
And those tickets have now reached golddust levels of value as Snow Patrol will be honoured at the ceremony, where they will also perform.
The Northern Irish rockers have enjoyed an incredible career, which saw a slow start quickly forgotten when Final Straw, their fourth LP, launched them into the stratosphere. Since then, they've sold more than 14m albums worldwide.
They're joined on the list of musical performers at the US-Irish Alliance event by Roisin O, on a line-up which already included James Corden, who'll be recognised as an 'Honorary Irishman'.
With a lot of buzz around Room, Brooklyn and Viva, amongst others, ahead of the Oscars, it could be a massive period for the Irish in LA - and now they're guaranteed a party to match!
