Rock memorabilia up for grabs at pre-Grammy charity auction
A Bob Dylan harmonica, a Slash guitar, a Prince bass and a saxophone signed by former US President Bill Clinton are among the items on offer in a pre-Grammy Awards charity auction.
Also up for grabs are personal letters from Frank Sinatra, Chubby Checkers’ checkered boots, a hand-written list by John Lennon, a surf board inscribed by Brian Wilson, a pink Cadillac inspired and autographed by Aretha Franklin and Elvis Presley’s Gretsch guitar played at his historic performance at the Hilton International in Las Vegas.
Proceeds from the auction will go to the MusiCares charity. A full color auction catalog can be purchased by visiting the auctioneer's website www.juliensauctions.com. Bidders may also view all lots online and register to phone bid, place absentee proxy bids and register to bid in real time on February 8, starting at 5:30pm Pacific Time.
