OS Mutantes to play Dublin
Move over Bonde De Role and CSS - the original Brazilian breakthrough act are heading to Ireland.
Having formed in 1966 and spent the intervening years influencing the likes of Redd Kross, Beck and Nirvana's Kurt Cobain, Sao Paolo band Os Mutantes will bring their reunion tour to Dublin's Vicar St. on July 26.
A handy start to their Tropicália/psychedelic/progressive rock back catalogue would be 2006's compilation De Volta Ao Planeta Dos Mutantes which features two discs jam-packed with their career's highlights, unreleased tracks and a particularly unique cover of The Beatles' 'Lady Madonna'.
Tickets are €33.60 on sale now through Ticketmaster and other usual outlets.
