Joe Jackson returns to Ireland
Having played here earlier this year, Joe Jackson is back with a new album and a date in Dublin.
New wave legend Joe Jackson has confirmed a February 29 stop-off at the Dublin Olympia. He's due to showcase songs from new album Rain, planned for release early next year.
Having infiltrated the top 20 with the likes of ‘Is She Really Going Out With Him?’, ‘It’s Different For Girls’ and ‘Stepping Out’, Jackson has veered off in a jazzier direction and campaigned (unsuccessfully) against the UK and US smoking bans.
He also had a rush of blood to the head in 2004 and helped Willam Shatner assemble his cover of Pulp’s ‘Common People’.
Tickets for the Olympia show are €35.00 and go on sale Friday 16 November.
