Blur to debut new material online
Two new tracks will stream live on Twitter.
Performing at a secret UK location on July 2, the concert will be streamed live to almost 30,000 Twitter followers ahead of their sold-out Hyde Park gig.
The iconic London band will premiere eagerly anticipated tracks ‘Under The Westway’ and ‘The Puritan’, as neither track has yet seen the light of day.
“I wrote these songs for Hyde Park and I’m really excited about getting out there and playing them for people,” says frontman Damon Albarn.
Tune in to @blurofficial at 6:15pm to hear the first track and an exclusive band interview, followed by the second track at 7:15pm, UK time.
Afterwards, both songs will be available to download. A limited edition double-A 7” single is to be released on August 6. It’s been 21 years since their seminal '91 debut, but Blur are showing no signs of slowing down.
