Blog of Revelations welcomes visitors
A sneak peak at what Peter Murphy's new blog has to offer over the coming weeks...
Welcome friends,
Today sees the unveiling of the Blog of Revelations. No fireworks, but lots of smoke and mirrors. To quote John Carpenter’s The Thing: ‘I don’t know what’s in there, but it’s weird and pissed off…’
Yes indeedy, here be beasties and beauties, human oddities, inhuman curiosities, a carnivalesque array of Very Special People. Step inside the Revelatorium and you’ll discover musicians talking about writers talking about filmmakers talking about painters talking about graphic novelists talking about the mating habits of hermaphrodite sea anenomes. Life is messy and so is art. We’ve got Interpol drummer Sam Fogarino on his favourite novelist Hubert Selby Jr. We’ve got a day-trip to Waitsworld. Over the next week or so we’ll have Tobias Wolff selecting for us his Top 5 short stories of all time; an extended and previously unpublished pow-wow with Daniel Lanois; Steve Earle on Nick Tosches, and much rejoicing over The Triffids’ ARIA induction.
Come on in – it’s dark outside.
Your host,
Peter Murphy
