The Nashville rocker will bring her forthcoming album Evergreen to Dublin for a rousing Vicar St show next year.
Nashville singer-songwriter Soccer Mommy - Sophie Allison - has released a new single following the announcement of her forthcoming album Evergreen and an international tour, which kicks off in the US tomorrow with a hometown show in Tennessee.
She has underscored a more organic production on Evergreen with the breathtaking, acoustic-forward 'Lost', and 'M', and today she shares a new side of the record with 'Driver'.
A classic, infectious Soccer Mommy banger, 'Driver' is a pummelling testament to the depth and breadth of Allison's music, a cheeky song about someone dealing with paralysing indecision and spaciness and the person who loves them in spite of their flaws.
"’Driver’ is a love song that’s really about someone being there for you in spite of your shortcomings," Allison explains. "It’s more light hearted than some of the other songs I’ve put out this year, using my distractedness as a bit of a punchline".
For her international tour across North America, Europe and the UK, which kicks off tomorrow, Soccer Mommy will bring the upcoming Evergreen to Dublin for a concert at Vicar St on 11th May. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10am local time and will be available to purchase here.
