Another alumni member of the famous Brit School, the flame-haired Archy Marshall wrote his first song at 8 and was recording aged 11. Now in his late teens, he flipped his moniker from Zoo Kid to King Krule when he left school in Summer 2011. It's reference to the Donkey Kong character 'King K. Rool', naturally. Since then, he been building a fanbase and wooing the music world with his dub-inflected darkwave. Gene Vincent and Fela Kuti are influences, while comparisons have been drawn to Edwyn Collins and Morrissey, which is never a bad thing. He's also a fan of the writings of Charles Bukowski and Franz Kafka. A serious young man with a bright future.
