The pilot testing scheme yielded immediate results on Friday night
The festival drug testing scheme that's being piloted at Electric Picnic last night identified a batch of purple skull ecstasy that is twice the strength of the average MDMA tablet found in Ireland.
Anyone who has them in their possession is advised to exercise caution.
Harm reduction advice can be found in the HSE tent, along with a bin to deposit drugs for back of house testing.
You won't be directly told what's in them, but any out of the ordinary contents will be flagged on the HSE and Picnic socials as well as hotpress.com.
The talk in drug harm reduction circles is that this could be a first step towards front of house pill testing and harm reduction services becoming a mandatory licensing requirement for Irish festivals.
Stay safe out there!
We're issuing caution from #EP2022
