If anything’s likely to whip us up into a mouse-clicking frenzy, it’s a disclaimer warning that, “The site you’re about to see is sick and twisted and full of nasty shit. You’ve got a problem with that?”
Strangely enough, no we don’t! Legal niceties dispensed with, www.spunthemovie.com tells you everything you want to know – and a bit more besides – about this pharmaceutical romp through Middle America.
Directed by Jonas ‘Smack My Bitch Up’ Åkerlund, the stellar cast includes “John Leguizamo as a paranoid crystal meth dealer, Jason Schwartzman as a speed freak and Mickey Rourke as the ‘chemist’.”
As if that isn’t mouthwatering enough, there are cameos from Deborah Harry, Billy Corgan, Rob Halford and public dick Ron Jeremy.
With Spun not premiering here until January 2003, this is a golden opportunity to get one up on your film bore mate.

Staying with the golden screen for a moment, anyone who’s enjoyed Minority Report should check out www.philipkdick.com. Regarded as something of a drug-addled lunatic while he was alive, history has confirmed the American as not just a great sci-fi writer but something of a prophet. In addition to a painstakingly comprehensive biog, this fan-run site includes incisive summaries and reviews of such page-turners as Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep?, Galactic Pot-Healer and Confessions Of A Crap Artist.
Alarming news from the States where the E! Network has given Anna Nicole Smith her own reality TV show.
Due to air in December, it’s being billed as “a candid and compelling look at the life and spectacle” of the former stripper who pocketed a cool $80 million when her octogenarian husband, Howard Marshall II, died. One presumes from exhaustion.
“I can’t wait,” the 34-year-old tells www.eonline.com. “People won’t be able to stop watching once they tune in. My life is a rollercoaster, so hold on and enjoy the ride.”
Er, must we?
No offence to Power City, but www.greggman.com has details of the sort of gear you’d kill to buy here. The latest gizmos off the Japanese production line include MP3 cellphones, Net TVs and a Kenwood PC that should be in a gallery not an office.
Which brings us to our rapid fire round. Other sites that have floated the CIN boat this week are:
