This year it’s about getting back to basics: bold primary colours. Blue is back with a bang, and in versatile ways. Michael Kors’ beautifully feminine yellow maxi dresses featured delicate black and white patterns, and Diane Von Furstenberg selected the classic trench to be drenched in sunny shades, making it endlessly wearable. If the hue is a bit overwhelming, inject a bit of lemon yellow into your ensemble via your accessories, such as bright bags and shoes.
Finally when it comes to fabrics, swap your tried and tested leather for suede, which is making a comeback. Suede jackets lend a bit of interest to staple jackets, while you can’t go wrong with a fantastic pair of suede, art deco heels – bonus points if you go for a seasonal hue.
