TAKE CONTROLE
Listen and win a 12-inch from Creative Controle, the Dublin collective who are ensuring that the phrase 'Irish hip hop' is no longer a contradiction in terms...
Creative Controle's latest 12-inch E.P., 'Check The Vision' (out on Volta Beats from March 15th) is the follow-up to the mighty sensory assault that was their debut 'Bloodrush/The Dose,' which prompted critics to announce that the Irish capitol might finally have a place on the global rap map.
The title track finds The Expert & Messiah J supplying all manner of acoustic-based samples behind their intense rap manifesto, which also features DJ Mayhem and freestyle legend Relevance. The second track 'I'd Give My Right Arm' is a humorous take on those morning-after-the-night-before blues, while 'Overdose' is an expanded orchestral take on their amazing former single 'The Dose.'
Currently at work on their debut album, due for release later in the year, CC raise their international profile with their first UK single 'Bloodrush/The Dose' on April 1st, swiftly followed by 'Check The Vision' on May 1st.
