A selection of top Irish acts will be taking over the high-street record chain over the course of the month.
The initial stage of the Breakingtunes and HMV partnership kicks off this month with an extremely promising array of homegrown talent.
The Breakingstage is a testament to HMV's dedication to the our exceedingly healthy domestic music scene. Over the coming months HMV stores in Dublin and Belfast will be welcoming bands to take to stage in a series of very special in-store appearances.
Kicking off festivities in HMV Grafton Street this Friday (May 16) at 1pm will be singer-songwriter sensation Dylan Tighe who's full-length debut entitled Record received no shortage of gushing reviews. Taking to the stage in HMV's Donegall Arcade Belfast branch on Saturday (May 17) will be much lauded home-town trio Go Wolf.
Thrilling as this weekend's events will be, they are just a taster for a month full of Breaking stage action, including:
May 23: 21 Outs, HMV Grafton Street, Dublin

May 24: VerseChorusVerse ,HMV Donegall Arcade, Belfast
May 30: Fox Jaw, HMV Grafton Street, Dublin
May 31: Ciaran Lavery, HMV Donegall Arcade, Belfast
If May's line-up is anything to go by it looks sure to be a big summer for HMV in-stores.
