Jazz legend is honoured at Buckingham Palace
Van Morrison collected his knighthood at a ceremony at Buckingham Palace today.
The Belfast-born jazz legend met Prince Charles as he became Sir Van - and the British Monarchy, owners of one of our new favourite handles on Twitter, snapped a shot of him looking altogether pleased indeed.

After the ceremony, the musician reflected on the momentous achievement. "It's amazing, it's very exhilarating, the whole thing," he said. "For 53 years I've been in the business - that's not bad for a blue-eyed soul singer from east Belfast."
What's more, he revealed the Prince of Wales did our job for us, and pestered the knight with questions.
"He was just saying, was I still writing? And he said: 'You're not going to retire any time soon?' And I said: 'No, I'm not, I'm going to keep it going while I can.'"
