U2's Vertigo named the top-grossing tour
The US's Billboard magazine have charted U2's as the highest grossing tour of 2005.
The Vertigo tour had already bagged the title of 'Top Tour’, ‘Top Draw’ and ‘Top Boxscore’ for its Croke Park stop-off in the Billboard Roadwork ’05 Touring Awards, but the new accolade is in recognition of the $260million that the sold-out tour produced.
Over the course of it, Bono and the boys played 90 concerts to over 3 million people.
The Eagles were next on Billboard's list, for their gross of $117 million from 77 shows, followed by Neil Diamond and country star Kenny Chesney.
Dear me.
