U2 have added a third Dublin date to their Vertigo world tour
U2 have confirmed that they will play an extra date at Dublin's Croke Park this June, as predicted on hotpress.com.
With two sold-out dates in their hometown on June 24 and 25, U2 have announced that they will also perform at Croke Park on Monday, June 27.
Posted on U2.com this morning, the announcement does not reveal details of ticket availability, but did include this statement from band manager Paul McGuinness:
"We have resolved the issues with the GAA and are delighted to announce that U2 will play a third show at Croke Park on Monday 27th June. The band is very excited to be playing to a quarter of a million people in their home town and we're going to do all we can to ensure that the tickets are distributed fairly.

"Even with the extra 80,000 tickets I know there will be some disappointed fans, such is the demand. We are working on the details of putting the tickets on sale and will announce as soon as we can."
