The Riptide Movement released their latest album Ghost last year in October and it went to the Top 5 of the album charts. Now the Irish rock band released a brand new video for their single “Changeling”.
The video was produced by Crooked Gentlemen Films. It pictures the mood of the song and its themes such as isolation and disconnection.
Mal Touhy, front-man of The Riptide Movement, said about the video: "It's a fun video, entertaining and endearing too and it packs a strong message. The story through the video encapsulates the message in the song about peoples’ belief systems and judging people. He continues; “I wanted to highlight the role these belief systems have on society as a whole and the pressure that puts on society to conform to the norm and how it can create a culture of repression, a repression of self expression”.
After being formed in Dublin in 2006, The Riptide Movement have been busy playing concerts and various festivals, not only in Ireland, but also overseas. And 2017 will give fans another opportunity to see the band live: Besides of playing on several music festivals this summer, The Riptide Movement will also make appearances in Ireland including shows in Dublin, Cork and Limerick.
Friday March 17th – St. Patrick’s Day- Olympia Theatre, Dublin
