The singer is in a jubilant mood this morning after she won her sexual assault case against an arrogant and ill-mannered DJ Mueller, who disgustingly groped her bottom at a photo taken as part of a public meet-and-greet event back in 2013
After almost four hours of deliberating, the jury of of six women and two men ruled in favor of Swift.
An emotional Taylor Swift hugged her family members after the verdict was read out in court. She then mouthed the words "thank you" to the jury as her "ordeal" finally came to a close..
While the singer was only awarded a symbolic $1 US dollar in damages, Taylor's people insist that they are happy with the $1 token award."Taylor Swift has no desire to bankrupt this man," said one of her lawyers.
"A single dollar on the counter claim is of immeasurable value. It says no means no and for every one women to determine was it to be tolerated with her body."
The popstar has has now released a statement saying that she plans to donate "to multiple organizations that help sexual assault victims defend themselves".
"I acknowledge the privilege that I benefit from in life, in society and in my ability to shoulder the enormous cost of defending myself in a trial like this," Taylor Swift said in a written statement.
"My hope is to help those whose voices should also be heard. Therefore, I will be making donations in the near future to multiple organizations that help sexual assault victims defend themselves."
She added: ""I want to thank Judge William J. Martinez and the jury for their careful consideration, my attorneys Doug Baldridge, Danielle Foley, Jay Schaudies and Katie Wright for fighting for me and anyone who feels silenced by a sexual assault, and especially anyone who offered their support throughout this four-year ordeal and two-year long trial process."
The DJ in the centre of this maelstrom had early tried to sue without success. claiming that Swift and her mother had somehow manged to get him fired from his high six figure salary gig as a DJ.
