'Beekeeper' to be released May 12.
Virtuoso fiddle player Steve Wickham has announced the release of his second solo album, 'Beekeeper', for May 12th.
The Sligo musician first appeared playing violin on the U2 anthem Sunday Bloody Sunday.
As a session violinist Wickham has recorded with Elvis Costello and Sinead O’Connor, as well as guesting live with REM and Bob Dylan, and has been a member of The Waterboys since 1986.
Wickham's last album, Geronimo, was released in 2004.
The tracklist features several guest artists, including fellow Waterboys member Mike Scott.

Wickham has also announced several live dates, including Dublin and his hometown of Sligo.
