Napster subscribers are being given first dibs on the new Snow Patrol album
Tracks from their new album Eyes Open, will be available for MP3 download from April 24 – a week before the collection makes it into the shops.
Due to copyright reasons, Napster is only available at the moment in the north of Ireland, so be extra nice over the next week or two to your granny in Lurgan.
There was good news for the band – and their record label! – last week when their shows at New York’s 3,000-capacity Roseland Ballroom and LA’s The Wiltern, which holds 2,300, sold-out in 10 minutes.
Talking to Hot Press, a record company source says: “The way things are shaping up there, I wouldn’t be surprised if the album goes top 20, possibly even top 10 in the States.
Along with the 400,000 people there who bought Final Straw, there are a lot of U2 fans who caught them on the Vertigo tour and liked what they saw.”
