Nick Cave and Johnny Depp are also thought to be involved!
Shane MacGowan has joined the list of musicians helping to raise funds for victims of the Haitian earthquake.
The Pogue has been leafing through his address-book to assemble an all-star cast who will be re-recording Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ ‘50s rock ‘n’ roll classic, ‘I Put A Spell on You’.
News of the project was leaked by rock ‘n’ roll snapper Danny Clifford who blogs: "My mate is organising a charity single to help raise loads of money for Haiti and the people who need it most. It's all top secret at the moment. But, I will be photographing it all and telling you all more as soon as I can. There are some very big names involved and one of them is my mate Shane McGowan, bless him. He is a good sport. So, later this week all will be revealed.”
According to reports in The Guardian and Sun newspapers, the all-star cast is likely to include Nick Cave, Bobby Gillespie, Johnny Depp and his partner Vanessa Paradis. We’ll keep you posted!
