In her new series Preacher, Ruth Negga holds no mercy.
Love/Hate was no bed of roses but it seems Negga's latest endeavor Preacher is certainly not for the faint hearted either.
Negga joins Dominic Cooper and Joseph Gilgun in the vengeful violent trio who are waging war on God in AMC's Preacher.

Preacher sees Negga play criminal crack pot, Tulip O'Hare. Tulip joins the possessed Texan Preacher (Cooper) who is determined to hold God accountable for abandoning mankind. And, to top it all off, throw in Cassidy (Gilgun) who plays an Irish vampire. Sounds interesting, doesn't it?
Preacher is based on the cult comic of the same name. From the studio behind Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead, the show is co-produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg and holds a key spot on prime time television viewing, straight after The Walking Dead.
The series' pilot premiered yesterday evening at SXSW. During the Q&A that followed the premiere, Negga enthused about how much she enjoyed playing Tulip; "She is so much fun (to play)...People don't think that girls are capable of extreme violence."
Well, Negga's Tulip is out to prove otherwise.
Preacher will make its US debut in May. Word of when it will reach here remains unknown but we will keep you posted.
