Adele regains the top spot from Jedward
Adele has bumped Jedward's not-so-aptly-named-right-now Victory off the top of the Irish Album Chart to regain the No. 1 spot this week. It means the recent Hot Press cover star's second album 21 now sits at the summit of both the Irish Album Chart and the Irish Album Indie Chart. Jedward have to settle for second place, whilst the same position over on the Indie Chart is still occupied by Adele's debut.
Elsewhere there is good news for Thomas Walsh and his Pugwash crew. Having just played a storming set at the Hot Press Year Book launch, the band see their new album The Olympus Sound enter the Indie Chart at No. 3 at first time of asking. Over on the main Album Chart, they have achieved a very commendably No. 14 position.
Making up the top five of the Irish Album Chart is:
1. 21 - Adele
2. Victory - Jedward
3. Back To Black - Amy Winehouse
4. Love Tattoo - Imelda May
5. Mayhem - Imelda May
