Following on from the hiatus of One Direction, the lads now have plenty of time on their hands to do as they please. Now half of the band, Horan and Tomlinson, will go head-to-head in Soccer Aid 2016.
Horan will act as Assistant Manager to the Rest of the World team whilst Tomlinson will take to the field with the England team.
Horan will be the confidante and advisor to the team manager and Premiere League winner Claudio Ranieri. The Mullingar native raved about his excitement on joining the Rest of the World team; "It's an absolute honour to be asked to be involved with such a fantastic charity and this game has become a major event on the calendar for the last 10 years. I'm absolutely delighted to be a part of the Rest of World team and Mr Ranieri's management team."
Horan will be managing over celebrities such as Michael Sheen, Nicky Byrne and Gordon Ramsay who make up some of the football team.
Meanwhile over in the opposite camp, we have the England Team. Tomlinson is getting down in the nitty-gritty out on the football field with fellow England players, Olly Murs, Mark Wright and Robbie Fowler. They will be under the guide of Chelsea's former manager Jose Mourinho.
Soccer Aid is run by UNICEF UK where the ticket sales are then donated to the charity. The event runs every second year and 2016 marks its 10th year. It will be hosted by Dermot O'Leary and kick off will be televised live on ITV, Sunday June 5. Tickets for Soccer Aid 2016 are available here.
