Netflix is strides ahead of the competition and they intend to keep that superior distance with Ozark.
As they are the leading Internet TV network out there, film stars are coming in left, right and center to get their chance to work with Netflix.
Momentum is gearing up fast for Netflix's latest original venture, Ozark. The two A-listers in line for this one are Jason Bateman and multi-award winner Laura Linney. The new series will consist of 10, 1 hour long episodes. Ozark is grounded in the modern day, stark, money-centric society. Bateman plays Marty a financial planner and his wife Wendy Bird (Laura Linney) lead a seemingly normal life. The family has to up and relocate from the suburbs of Chicago to an idyllic summer resort community of Missouri Ozarks. As the family and work dynamic changes drastically, Ozark explores themes of capitalism, family dynamics, and survival through the eyes of (anything but) ordinary Americans.
Ozark is set for global domination when it's released on Netflix in 2017.
