The band will play Vicar Street on June 3.
Speaking about their music, Harvest said: “Neil Young’s music and song writing - spanning more than 45 years and 35 albums of rock and roll, folk and country and other styles – are among the most enduring and popular of our times. Harvest, A Tribute to Neil Young are Ireland’s finest tribute to an artist who has never compromised his artistic vision.
Formed in 2009 by guitarist and Neil Young-fanatic Sean O’Leary, Harvest began as a 4 piece band performing renditions of classic songs from Neil’s canon . As the song selection expanded so did the line-up, which now comprises 8 members, with piano, pedal steel and harmony vocals enabling the band to perform songs from throughout Neil’s career. The performances are passionate and the band’s great love of the materiel is evident to anyone who has experienced them live.
Harvest mix the energy and dynamics of Neil’s electric numbers with Crazy Horse with the delicacy and beauty of songs from his acoustic periods. Lead singer Dara Mulhern inhabits the songs and sings with power and emotion while Sean’s guitar playing channels the spirit of the music and takes the band to different heights every night.”
