Not only is a record on the horizon, but Moz is turning his hand to fiction writing.
It seems Morrissey has no plans to take it easy in 2014, following the success of last year's Autobiography.
Talking to his ever-faithful fan site True To You last week, the Mancunian singer confirmed that a new album is on the horizon, and that his band are "about to record". Naturally, Moz being Moz, there was a barb or two on the topic of whether his new music will actually be heard on radio thrown in for good measure.
"The actuality is that radio stations will not play my music, and the majority of people have lost faith in the music industry, and it's generally assumed -- quite rightly -- that the number one chart positions are 'bought' by the major labels, so there really is no passion left in pop or rock music."
That's not all. If you enjoyed the often overwhelmingly beautiful prose and poetry of his Autobiography, but felt there was a little too much score-settling and court case recolllections, there is another work in the pipeline that might be right up your street. The performer revealed he is now in the midst of penning a work of fiction.

"Yes, I am midway through my novel. I have my hopes."
Elsewhere in the Q&A with fans, he talked about Tony Visconti attempting to get him and David Bowie to record 'You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'' and compared "eating animals" to paedophilia.
