In Dublin for five O2 dates, the Canadian crooner gave his reaction to Thom Yorke's stand against the streaming service.
"Forget about me the singer," says Michael Buble. "I've got enough money. There's a lot of other people who are affected by giving away music for free."
The view of Canadian superstar Michael Buble when Hot Press asked him for his take on Thom Yorke withdrawing his music from Spotify in protest of the fact that, Yorke claims, "new artists get paid fuck-all with this model."
Buble was holding a press conference yesterday in The O2's Audi Club yesterday (Tues Jul 16), ahead of his second date of five with Dublin.
"People say that the music business is dead, that it's over, but it's not. It's just changing. We're just a little behind," the singer opined. "We're going to have to find a way to make it fair because obviously there's a lot of people involved."
He also went on to compare the situation to the film industry, which is starting to feel the effects of both downloading and streaming:

"And by the way, the movie industry? You know what I'm saying? It's happening there too. I've talked to many, many of the world's biggest producers. We've sat at dinner together and had these discussions.
"You know, it's a problem, but it's a first world problem. And we're going to have to find out a way... I'm sure it's going to evolve and change. That's the way it is."
Looking for the positives, Buble pointed out how, "touring has become so important and bands are actually getting out there and playing live shows. People are getting to know them that way."
As for the intricacies of Thom Yorke's dispute with Spotify, he admitted: "Honestly, I'd have to know more about it before I started to give you heavier answers."
