The first instalment of 2016 will see two of Ireland’s most unique and engaging live acts team up in the stunning surrounds of the Old Jameson Distillery for a night of music, collaboration, and the odd surprise for good measure.
With Gavin James, Hermitage Green, HamsandwicH, R.S.A.G., Amaron and Trinity Ensemble all involved over the first two nights of Bow St. Sessions, brought to you by Hot Press and Jameson, the buzz surrounding the return of the event for 2016 has been unrelenting – and finally, we can reveal the acts that will take the series to brand new heights!
The night will see Maverick Sabre and Dublin Gospel Choir take the stage to collaborate, combine, and showcase their unique talents. The London-born, Wexford-raised performer has won a legion of fans with his heady mix of singer-songwriter intimacy and hip-hop edge, exemplified on his 2015 album Innerstanding. As well as reminding audiences of his own excellence, it also featured Mav joining forces with the likes of rap royalty Joey Bada$$ - a clear indication of a man with an ear for an exciting collaboration! Similarly disposed are Dublin Gospel Choir, who’ve shared stages with everyone from Kodaline and John Legend to Outkast and Ennio Morricone, as well as bringing their unparalleled brand of vocal performance to the Electric Picnic on an annual basis.
This very special evening, which is guaranteed to include some surprises, takes place on Thursday, February 4. And, we’ll have another special guest to be announced very soon! Expect an electric atmosphere, some thrilling performances – but after that, expect the unexpected!
