If you're a fan of Jack White, you're going to want to hear these clips!
Third Man Records owner, Jack White, has posted some early recordings on his label's website.
The two song snippets, entitled 'Itchy', a rockabilly inspired recording from 1998 and a live version of 'Dead Leaves On The Dirty Ground', are being previewed as part of the upcoming
release package for 'Vault' subscribers to Third Man Records.
'Itchy' was recorded by White while he was part of a band named Two Star Tabernacle. The signifigance of the group can't be underestimated, as it was critical jumping-off point for the creation of many of the earliest White Stripes songs.
Vault Package 27 will feature twangier renditions of the classic tunes 'Hotel Yorba' and 'Now Mary', from The White Stripes' 2001 album, White Blood Cells.
Also included in the collection are the songs 'Candy Cane Children', 'You’ve Got Her In Your Pocket' and a Jack White cover of Little Richard's 'Ooh! My Soul', which according to Third Man Records' website might have been the inspiration for the iconic White Stripes track 'Fell In Love With A Girl'.
