The Eurosonic Festival is sold out, the organisers have announced, offering a timely boost for the music industry at the beginning what promises to be a tough but very interesting year in 2010.
The festival, of which Hot Press is one of the media sponsors, is a focus for European music talent and also encompasses a variety of awards, including the European Festival Awards, as well as a conference element.
"Being the largest showcase festival in Europe, EuroSonic Noorderslag forms an important platform for new European talent," a spokesperson told Hot Press. "With the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), Yourope and Network Europe giving extended exposure to the performing artists, the event plays a vital role in the development and circulation of talent in Europe."
Among the 250 artists that are scheduled to play are Ireland's Imelda May, And So I Watch You From Afar, and Delorentos, as well as Appleblim (GB), CALLmeKAT (DK), Choir of Young Believers (DK), C-Mon Kypski vs Metropole Orkest (NL), Creature With the Atom Brain (BE), Customs (BE), De Staat (NL), Delorentos (IR), DeWolff (NL), donkeyboy (NO), Ellie Goulding (GB), Elske DeWall (NL), Fagget Fairys (DK), Foreign Beggars (GB), Isbells (BE), Jamaica (FR), Knalpot (NL), Laura Jansen (NL), Moke (NL), Pony the Pirate (NO), Promo (live) & Guests (NL), Rox (GB), Schlachthofbronx (DE), Seabear (IS), Sivert Höyem (NO), The Mad Trist (NL), Valerius (NL) and Waylon (NL).
