If you’re feeling in anyway underachieving, you might want to look away now
Forbes Magazine has conducted its 300 Most Influential Figures Under 30 in Europe for the first time and Hozier, Saoirse Ronan and Rory McIllroy all make the cut.
They're joined on the list, which is broken into separate categories, by Simone Rocha, who continues to prove she has what it takes to continue in her famous father's footsteps.
Since her critically acclaimed debut in Atonement, Ronan has gone on to win numerous awards, acted alongside some serious famous faces and it doesn’t look like she’ll be going anywhere soon with an Academy Award nomination and potential win pending for her performance in Brooklyn, all at the tender age of 21.
Meanwhile, Hozier has been making his name in the music business since 2013. His breakthrough track Take Me to Church led to him being one of the sought after acts in the entertainment world. He has managed to do what many other artists can only envy after breaking America and playing shows such as Jimmy Fallon, David Letterman and Ellen DeGeneres. The 25 year old Bray boy has performed a sell-out tour, been nominated for a Grammy and reached No.2 on the Billboard Chart with his debut album aptly named Hozier.
After bagging the European Tour Golfer for the 3rd year in a row, 26 year old Rory McIllroy makes the Sports category. It’s no wonder McIllroy has made the list as he is the first European to win 3 different majors and sits alongside golfing legends Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus to do so by the age of 25. In 2015, his net worth was estimated at €183 million!
The whole list compiles a large variety of various sectors including technology, fashion and rising entrepreneurs. Although she mightn’t be known as well as the aforementioned, her fashions certainly are as Ranelagh native Simone Rocha’s designs have been sported by Rihanna, Keira Knightley and Chloe Mortez. After winning Designer of the Year award for both Elle and Harper’s Bazaar, Rocha is a fashion force to be reckoned with and also makes the Forbes list.
The mantra to this Forbe’s list is to showcase the ground-breaking people transforming the fields of technology, the arts, science & healthcare, policy, media, social entrepreneurship, finance, industry and retail. If anybody needs some Tuesday Transformation motivation maybe a look through this list would be a good place to start!
