Looks like One Direction really are a whole lot of history.
Billboard seem fairly confident that Harry Styles is definitely going solo.
It wouldn't be a start to the new week if there wasn't some kind of One Direction rumour in the mill and today's one is that Harry Styles has signed the dotted line with Columbia. The same recording company who backed One Direction throughout their career have reportedly bagged Styles as a solo act. The finer details of the supposed contract are yet unknown (if they're even true) so no album date is in the pipeline.
Since One Direction took an unspecified hiatus in January, Styles has been keeping himself busy. He is currently busy filming off the beaches of France in Christopher Nolan's upcoming biopic Dunkirk and last week it was reported that he is being scouted to play Mick Jagger in another project. If these Columbia record rumours translate to reality, Styles will be the first One Directioner to go solo. Whilst Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson have been keeping a relatively low profile, former band member Zayn Malik has had considerable success since releasing his debut album Mind of Mine.
There's yet to be any solid confirmation from either Columbia or Styles himself to be announced so One Direction fans can wait and anticipate until then.
